Gigi and Pa Pa

Craig has been traveling quite a bit lately and even though I have gotten the day and night solo routine down pat it was nice to have my parents come for a visit. Craig made it back from Phoenix Tuesday night late and my parents arrived Wednesday. Dad left Friday morning and my mom stayed a bit longer since Craig was going to Del Rio to a fishing tournament and to fish at Lake Falcon with Greg. The kids and I had a lot of fun with Gigi and loved that she was able to stay. Dad came back the next weekend to stay a few days and take Gigi back north. Thanks mom and dad!! We love you!!

A quick picture before they headed back across the river. Wait until you see what went in the empty space above the mantel!

Hayes and Gigi blowing bubbles at the park.

Hatcher and Gigi showing their support for our beloved OSU Cowboys...Go Pokes!!

Gigi helping Hayes get her helmet just right.

Hatcher enjoying his last kitchen sink bath with Gigi. Notice her shirt, he learned to soak everything around him!!

Pa Pa and his only grandson.
A quick trip to Bass Pro Shops.

Hayes really enjoyed sharing bubba's applesauce!

Our big boy sitting in his own high chair at dinner, complete with some sugar!

Hayes enjoyed showing Pa Pa how all the games at Chuck E. Cheese worked.

Hatcher enjoying his visit from Gigi and Pa Pa. They hadn't seen him in a few months. Wow, how he has grown!

Big Boy!

Hatcher's six month well baby visit went very well. Doctor Benbow was very pleased with Hatch's progress and was very happy that, in his words, he is a good old fashioned breast only baby...plus the solids that he now eats. We love that Doctor Benbow is 'old school'! Hatcher was in the 50% in every category (weighing in at 16 pounds 13 ounces) except height. Our little Hatcher man is in the 75% in height. No wonder he eats so well, he is going to be a big boy! We love you Hatcher man!!

Hatcher loves to "drive" mommy's car after he has a nice full belly.

How adorable is this sweetheart?!!!

Can You Feel the Love?

They really love each other. Hayes is always hugging and kissing on Hatcher and getting down on his level to make him smile. It's just priceless....but today she was a little too affectionate. Hayes was already done with lunch and running wild while I got up to get a washrag to clean up Hatcher man. As I was wetting the washrag Hayes climbed up on Hatcher's high chair to talk to him and then proceeded to lean back! Her weight brought them both tumbling to the tile floor. Hatcher was still strapped in the high chair and the high chair landed on Hayes. A few bumps and tears but all is well. Hopefully there aren't any huge bruises tomorrow. Never a dull moment!!

Sweetest Six Months

What a sweetie! Hatcher still has such an inviting personality. He loves mommy and daddy but he is absolutely head-over-heels for Hayes. He positively lights up when he sees his big sister. It is such an awesome sight to behold! We go for his six-month check up Thursday. He is growing...maybe to be contributed to his wonderful nursing abilities and love of solid food as well! We love you Hatcher man!

I could cuddle with this little cuddle bug all day long. Wait a minute...I do, I do! On our way to the gym, so far he loves it there too!

Not the best pic (notice Hayes is helping brother sit up!) but love the cute little outfit. Daddy says that boys don't wear outfits... :)

Somebody is getting sleepy. But still handsome!

Enjoying some outdoor time watching sister blow bubbles, use chalk and drive her red sports coupe. Go Pokes, notice my game day flag in the background! We beat A&M that night.

All smiles shopping like a big boy at HEB. Next time we will have to get Hatcher a balloon too. I'm sure Hayes won't mind, she will gladly take his sucker!

27 and 27

So hard to believe that on September 27th sweet baby Hayes turned 27 months. It seems like only yesterday we heard that sweet little heartbeat for the first time and kept praying that we could hold our little angel in our arms. What a blessed answer to prayers she was and continues to be day by day. She has brought so much joy to our lives. Enjoy a few minutes of that joy. We love you Hayes Lauren!!

I had to splice video so it would fit...

Our cup runneth over!!

Fall is in the Air!

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous! A bit chilly in the mornings and warming up to the low to mid eighties by afternoon. Perfect weather to hit the road to Devine, Texas and the Devine Acres Farm. There were so many wonderful things for Hayes to enjoy and we so enjoyed watching her! They had animals, fishing, playground, marshmallow roasting, hay ride, duck races, yummy food, mazes and much more. It was well worth the hour drive south. Fall is definitely in the air in San Antonio and we love it! Happy Fall y'all!

Hatcher a little sleepy on the hayride.

Those slides were SUPER FAST! Good thing there was a prince charming to catch sweet baby Hayes.

Hayes loved holding her "fishy" as she called them.

But oh no..."hands dirty" our go getter loves to play hard but hates to get her hands dirty. Quite a funny combination!

Adorable two year old!

Love, love, love these two fishin' buddies!

Lazy Sunday

Sundays just might be our favorite family day of the week...morning at church, lunch at home with an afternoon of naps, football and errands. We love Sundays!! Hatcher is almost too big for his baby bathtub (his size is already a little too big!!) in the next week or two he will graduate to the big kid bathtub upstairs with Hayes, as soon as he is sitting unsupported, it won't be long! I snapped these pictures tonight and had to share. What a kissable little boy, I love this little man. My sweet Hatcher Man!

Even though he usually has a serious face for pictures this is more in tune with his personality. He smiles, laughs and talks a lot! Very social and very flirtatious. Sweetheart!

Just look at those big, beautiful eyes. Beware - they melt hearts!

Hatcher's favorite part of bath time just might be sucking his thumb through the washcloth. The boy does love his thumb. But he is all boy - if you don't give him a washcloth to play with he just might find something else to play with... :) I could probably use this tidbit of information for blackmail when he is older. I learned very early that boys and girls are different from day one! But I don't even remember how I ever survived without him. Thank God for little boys and little girls, we are so blessed!
